Landscape and hardscape calculators

Volume is the shape times the depth. A rectangle is length × width × depth. A circle is π × radius² × depth. A triangle is ½ × base × height × depth. Divide cubic feet by 27 for cubic yards. Waste is a percent on top of that. Soil also takes a settle allowance, so the bed is still full after it drops.

The tons-per-yard figures are loose ordering weights used to plan a delivery: #57 at 1.40, pea gravel at 1.30, crusher run at 1.50, river rock at 1.35, hardwood mulch at 0.40, screened topsoil at 1.10. Moisture and the quarry ticket override every one of them. A “10-yard truck” here is a planning count, not a legal payload. The cubic yard calculator is the same geometry with the weight left off.
